Nyksan, one of the heads of the effervescent post-reggaeton label TraTraTrax, presents his debut EP in a collaboration between two main Ambient labels from Colombia: Éter x Hoy Records.
‘Sacrificio’ is the baptism of an immersive interactive project, a comprehensive work that incorporates multiple arts. Sculpture, music, digital arts, architecture and photography collide to exalt the Colombian territory, specifically a section of the imposing Chiribiquete, a place that has been described as the "Sistine Chapel" of the archaeology of America.
There, the Bogotá born - London based producer embarks on a deep journey to the heart of dark and rhythmic ambient music. Sacrificio dissolves the boundaries between synthesis and field recordings to create experimental yet primitive spaces. Immersive drone running into the jungle, stealthy ambience and instrumentals stalk you through the undergrowth. The climax of this album is revealed in the friction of the sonic with our memories and the dream territory.
In the search to transcend the merely conceptual, this sacrifice also seeks to protect the majestic space. In this interdisciplinary development, technology is used to create a parallel universe that emerges from digital scans and becomes an invitation to navigate the new memories of this sacred place. ‘Sacrificio’ is an exciting sound and graphic stimuli to re-discover the relics that stand imposingly in the immense deep Colombia.

Nyksan, una de las cabezas del colectivo Unterbog y del efervescente sello de post-reggaetón TraTraTrax, presenta su EP debut en una colaboración entre las casas del ambient colombiano: Éter x Hoy Records.
‘Sacrificio’ es el bautizmo de un proyecto inmersivo interactivo, una obra integral que incorpora múltiples artes. La escultura, la música, las artes digitales, la arquitectura y la fotografía colisionan para exaltar uno de los rincones del territorio colombiano: el imponente Chiribiquete, descrito como la "Capilla Sixtina" de la arqueología de América.
Allí el bogotano se embarca en viaje profundo al corazón de la música ambiental oscura y rítmica, diluye las barreras entre la síntesis y las grabaciones de campo para crear espacios experimentales y a su vez primitivos. Corre drone inmersivo que se adentra en la jungla, ambient e instrumentales sigilosos de repente te asechan a través de la jungla. El climax de este disco se revela en la fricción de lo sónico con nuestras memorias y el territorio onírico.
En la búsqueda de trascender lo meramente conceptual, este sacrificio también persigue la protección del majestuoso espacio. En este desarrollo interdisciplinar se utiliza la tecnología para la creación de un universo paralelo que surge a partir de escaneos digitales y se convierte en una invitación para navegar en las nuevas memorias de este lugar sagrado. ‘Sacrificio’ es un emocionante estímulo sonoro y gráfico para re–descubrir las reliquias que se alzan imponentes en la inmensa Colombia profunda.
